วันที่11-12 มีนาคม 2566 ที่ผ่านมา กลุ่มรักษ์เชียงของ สถาบันองค์ความรู้ท้องถิ่นโฮงเฮียนแม่น้ำของ ได้จัดกิจกรรม "ปิดเทอมไปวัด(น้ำ)กัน" ภายใต้ "โครงการเยาวชนแม่น้ำโขง ซึ่งมีเป้าหมายสำคัญของโครงการเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและความเข้มแข็งให้เยาวชนและชุมชนหรือโรงเรียนได้ร่วมกันติดตามสุขภาวะของแม่น้ำหรือน้ำที่อยู่ใกล้ตัวของเขาเหล่านั้น โครงการฯ ได้ดำเนินงานมาหนึ่งปีกว่า กิจกรรม "ปิดเทอมไปวัด(น้ำ)กัน" เพื่อให้เด็กรุ่นใหม่ ชั้น ม.4 โรงเรียนเชียงของวิทยาคม เตรียมเข้าสู่ปีสองของโครงการฯ ด้วยการให้รุ่นพี่ปี 1 นักเรียนชั้น ม.5 โรงเรียนบ้านแซววิทยาคม มาเป็นผู้ดำเนินการอบรมในลักษณะแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้หรือพี่สอนน้องในการติดตามตรวจสอบคุณภาพน้ำเชิงปฏิบัติการ มีนักเรียนและครูพี่เลี้ยงทั้งหมด 47 คน ต่างเข้าร่วมงานกันอย่างสนุกสนานในอารมณ์คนวัยเดียวกัน สำหรับนักเรียนรุ่นปีที่ผ่านการเรียนรู้ปฏิบัติการติดตามแม่น้ำมาปีกว่า ได้ฝึกปฏิบัติการดูนก และใช้แอพพริเคชั่นบันทึกการตรวจวัดน้ำ แล้วกลับมาสรุปและวางแผนที่จะนำเอากระบวนการดำเนินงานวิทยาศาสตร์พลเมืองของโครงการเยาวชนแม่น้ำโขงไปสู่การออกแบบหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อมในโรงเรียนมัธยมต้นและมัธยมปลายที่เน้นการเรียนรู้จากพื้นที่นอกห้องเรียนในแบบการเรียนรู้ที่ใช้โครงงานเป็นฐานต่อไป On March 11-12, 2023, the Chiang Khong Conservation Group, Mekong School : Institute of Local Knowledge organized activities "School’s Out!
